In looking at the video I see that I am frequently still using verbal/hand cues simultaneously.

    That's a valuable observation. In Level 1, 2 cues are permitted for Down, handsignal only for Sit. In Level 2, dog must sit on voice cue only; down on a single cue (not to include body language). So, something to be aware of and to work on!
